In the Sacrament of Baptism, we become a child of God and enter into God’s family, the Church. If you desire to have a child baptized, please submit the Baptism Request Form found here. To help in preparation for your child’s baptism, please read through the Baptism Request Form and the Baptismal Sponsor Guidelines (click on form). This information will help you in choosing Godparents and scheduling the Baptism. The Sponsor Testimonial Form is required to be completed by the Pastor of the Church the Godparent attends and should be submitted to St. Rita Church before a baptism is scheduled.
If this is your first child to be baptized, or if it has been
longer than 5 years since your last child was baptized, we require you to take a Baptismal Preparation Class. The class is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month in the Lower Level of the Church Office area from 10:00am-11:00am. At least one parent must attend. Attendance is not required for the Godparents.
